System Electronics Pty. Ltd. was established in 1980 as a research and development company specialising in motion control. Since then, SE has produced and sold a wide variety of embedded computer automation products for commercial and industrial applications.
In recent years, the production and sales of System Electronics’ product range was handled by its sister company, Presstek Pty. Ltd., where the industrial control range of products has been its main focus. Its flagship has been the series of CNC pressbrake control systems, many of which are still working perfectly over 20 years later.
However, with the increasing obsolescence of much of the componentry of its existing CNC controller range coupled with the availability of electronic hardware innovations, System Electronics has devoted considerable time and monies to the development of its new highly affordable range of automation control applications.
Sales of control applications from this range began in 2006 and this in-situ placement allowed refinements to be made if required. System Electronics is confident that its range is ready for the open market and is proud to be using this website to officially introduce its new iCON range of controllers.
The current iCON range has been specifically designed for metal trades applications but other applications will follow.
As well as the iCON range of products you will notice that this site offers full documentation for other System Electronics products, such as Backgauge Systems (working drawings) of various sizes and configurations. Such self build projects when combined with the specialist items offered and the appropriate iCON controller will result in a fully operational and professional product.
The iCON range has been designed for the industrial electrician or electronics technician to apply to the various controller problems they are likely to encounter on their travels.
The iCON product range facilitates the application engineer to complete the project with minimum time and risk with a project completion including documentation (operator's and technical manuals and installation advice) and as built circuit diagrams.
